Car Polishing Singapore

There is no difference between paint correction and polishing, they are the same.

Polishing is the process of cutting down the clear coat of a paint and making it clear of any swirl marks, stains, irregular finishes and light scratches. How much of these defects can be cleared depends on the condition of the clear coat and the damage on the clear coat. One good example regarding scratches is, if you can run your finger nail over a scratch and feel that there is a groove and depth to the damage, that s a clear sign that it needs to be resprayed. Polishing is not an alternative for respray.

What to do after a polish?

After a polish, your paint is left vulnerable and unprotected. It definitely looks good after a polish. However, that will not last long if it is not protected. A must do after polish is to apply either a wax or ceramic coat. This protects your clear coat from pollutants and also makes it harder for pollutants to stick to your clear coat. An additional benefit is that cleaning will be easier and, your car will look much better after a wax or ceramic coat. A better option to protect your car with will be ceramic coat as it is harder than a wax and lasts longer. Instead of a 3-4 months maintenance like wax needs, ceramic coating needs maintenance about every 1-2years, depending on the type of ceramic coating used and how well it has been taken care of.
